The last piece of equipment in which the water circulates before returning to the pool is the water heater that brings the water to a pre-set temperature, allowing homeowners to have fun and enjoy their pool despite cool weather or a shaded yard.

There are three main options to choose from when it comes to a water heater:

  • Propane gas
  • Natural gas
  • Heat pump (electric)

Gas water heaters are typically faster than heat pumps. However, gas, natural or propane, will require duct installation to a gas supply.

The heat pump will require an electrical connection (220/240 volts). Although initially slow to reach the required temperature, it is, on the other hand, much more economical to maintain a constant temperature.

To determine the most appropriate model for your needs, discuss the advantages of the different systems with your Aqua Master.
